Description

The IM-64 Mighty Marker® Super Jumbo is a low VOC, non-hazardous marker built for one job most markers can't do: mark bare, unpainted metal so the mark stays visible through a water-based primer during layout and prep.

Its water-based bleed-thru ink penetrates the primer layer, so structural steel and metal fabrication layout marks remain readable while the work is in progress. A single broad-edge tip delivers three usable line widths, 2.0mm fine, 7.0mm medium, and 15.0mm broad, for both detailed lines and bold strokes in one marker. The valve-controlled design keeps ink flowing consistently, even if the cap is left off.

When the layout marks are no longer needed, seal them with an oil-based sealant. The surface becomes completely flush, with no visible trace of the original marking, for a clean, professional finish. Manufactured in the USA by Arro-Mark®, 70+ years of industrial marking craftsmanship.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Will this marker work on primed or painted metal?
No. It's built to mark bare, unpainted metal. The water-based ink is designed to bleed through a later water-based primer coat so the mark stays visible during layout and prep, not to mark over an existing coating.
How do I remove the mark once the layout work is done?
Seal it with an oil-based sealant. The surface becomes completely flush, with no visible trace of the original mark, for a clean, professional finish.
Is this marker safe to use in enclosed or ventilation-limited spaces?
Yes. This water-based, low VOC, non-hazardous formula is well suited for enclosed or ventilation-limited work areas.
