Frequently Asked Questions

How durable is the mark once it's applied, will it hold up outdoors?
Yes. PM-16 marks are permanent, fast-drying, and resist water, weather, UV light, chemicals, fading, and abrasion, with an outdoor longevity of 10+ years. Once it's dry, it's built to stay legible through the elements
What's the difference between the bullet, chisel, and step-down nibs, and can I switch between them?
The PM-16 ships with a reversible 2.3mm bullet nib for general marking. The 4.0mm chisel nib is better for broader strokes, and the 1.5mm step-down nib is suited to tighter, more detailed marking. All three are interchangeable on the same marker body, so you can match the task without buying a separate marker for each nib type. Chisel and step-down nibs are sold separately in 12-packs.
Will the PM-16 marker work on oily, rusty, or dirty surfaces?
Yes. The PM-16 Mighty Marker® is formulated to mark directly on oily, wet, rusty, and dirty surfaces with no cleaning or surface prep required. It's built for real jobsite and plant-floor conditions, not just clean, dry materials.
