Frequently Asked Questions

How do I find the right marker for my surface?
Start with your material. Click in the surface collection that matches what you're marking on, and you'll find markers that have actually been tested on that substrate, not just listed as compatible. Each collection does the sorting for you, so you're not sorting through products built for something completely different. If you work across more than one surface type, browse each collection and use the comparison feature to line them up side by side.
Do I need a different marker for every surface, or will one formula cover everything?
It depends, but surface-matched formulas almost outperform all-purpose markers. The ink chemistry that bonds to bare metal behaves very differently on concrete or plastic, and that difference shows up in adhesion, readability, and how long the mark actually holds. That's why we organize by surface. It take the guesswork out and gets you to the right formula.
Do I need to clean or prep the surface before I mark?
Usually not. Most Mighty Marker oil-based formulas are built to bond to surfaces as they are, dust, rust, mill scale and more. That's one of the things that makes them practical on a real job site, where stopping to degrease or prime isn't always an option. If a specific product does require a prep, it's noted on the packaging. But for most applications, you uncap it and mark.
Mighty Marker® by Arro-Mark®

Industrial Markers Engineered for Every Surface

Mighty Marker® markers are engineered for the surface materials found across industrial, manufacturing, and field environments: metal; wood and lumber; masonry and stone; plastics and synthetics; glass and window tint; packaging and paper; coated surfaces; and fabric. Each surface group includes the specific sub-surfaces within it, so you can find the right marker for your exact material, not just a general category.

Mighty Marker® is manufactured by Arro-Mark®, a family owned U.S. company with 70+ years of industrial marking craftsmanship. Don't see your surface listed? Talk to an expert about a custom formula built to your exact specification.
